Tells the hilarious story of a young woman’s search for her birth father on the eve of her wedding. This sunny and funny tale unfolds on a Greek island paradise as the woman brings three men from her mother’s past back to the island they last visited 20 years ago. ABBA’S timeless songs propel this enchanting tale of love, laughter, and friendship, creating an unforgettable show full of big laughs and explosive dance numbers.
Auditions for MAMMA MIA! Will be held on Wednesday, May 15th and Thursday, May 16th at 6:00 p.m. at the Highland Elementary Auditorium, 1800 Lindenthal Ave., Highland, IL. Callbacks will be held on Thursday, May 16th at 7:30 p.m. Those auditioning should be at least 15 years-old. Those auditioning should come prepared with a 16-32 bars of a song from a musical that shows your vocal ability and closely resembles the role you are auditioning for. NO SONGS FROM MAMMA MIA!, PLEASE. Please bring in sheet music in the correct key as there will be no recordings. Those auditioning will also be asked to read from the script and will be taught a short dance routine. Please wear appropriate shoes for the dance portion of the audition. There are roles available for both men and women in a variety of ages and all roles are available. Those auditioning should download and fill out the audition form found under the MAMMA MIA! Audition notice at the hardroad.org. In addition, those auditioning should sign-up for an audition time slot online through the Hard Road website, too.
MAMMA MIA! is being directed by Erik Sykes with choreography by Christine Taylor. Performance dates for MAMMA MIA! are July 26th-28th and Aug. 2-4th.
