Independent Theatre Co. is seeking for 4-5 strong African-American and Afro-Latino performers to fill roles in our July production of Ntozake Shange’s “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf”.

“Ntozake Shange’s groundbreaking “choreopoem” is a spellbinding collection of vivid prose and free verse narratives about and performed by Black women.”

Auditions will be at The Theatre Guild of Webster Groves (517 Theatre Ln, Webster Groves MO 63119)

– What To Prepare: One short monologue, spoken word or poem and one of the sides OR any two sides. If you dance you may be asked to dance, and if you sing you may be asked to sing a few bars accapella.  Sides are available on the FB event under “Discussion”

– What To Bring: A headshot (or recent photo) and resume. Be prepared to list all conflicts/potential conflicts in May, June and July.

Production dates: July 12 & 13 at 7:30p and July 14 at 2:00p

(Three ladies have already joined the cast, but all roles, except the lady in orange, are open).
