Lost & Found Sight & Sound
Hey y’all. Let’s make a movie! So this is the second official post for my upcoming graduate student short film project. I made an initial post a month ago, but some changes have been made to the production schedule. I got some great responses to the first call, and I have a good running list of talent to audition, but I want to see all that is out there so I can make the best decisions for my story.
As for the changes to the production schedule, this was originally a two-part production, filming Part I in Spring, and Part II in Fall. This has now been shortened to a single 3-day production *tentatively* planned for March 20-22. So if anyone was interested but worried about having to return later, that is no longer the case!
As for the story, this will be an absurd but heartfelt short film, telling the tale of two drug fueled best friends, and the different ways we deal with grief when tragedy strikes. I am a graduate student, but this is still a student film, so at this time, I can’t offer any pay. But you will be fed, you’ll be in a great networking environment, and you’ll have a fun time being creative!
This film will be Rated R, involving drug use, cursing, sexual content, and reckless behavior. Some characters are wilder than others, so I’ll include a short rundown of their character and some of their actions in the story for your consideration. There are 6 named characters listed below, as well as several extras.

Blue
Description: 22-year-old woman. Grungy, alt, edgy, but sentimental.
Actions: Curses. Smokes cigarettes, weed, and opium. Takes acid.
Miguel
Description: 27-year-old man. Spanish speaker (only a couple lines). Outgoing, vibrant soul, vulgar, eccentric stoner. Shenanigan instigator. Blue’s best friend.
Actions: Curses. Smokes cigarettes and maybe opium.
Andi
Description: 23-year-old woman. Bold, outspoken, hard-nosed, and wild.
Actions: Snorts cocaine. Takes her shirt off, leaving only a bra. Takes acid. Makes out with her girlfriend.
Effie
Description: 19-year-old woman. Deceptively simple.
Actions: Curses. Takes acid. Makes out with her girlfriend.
Allen
Description: 26-year-old man. Reckless. Drunk.
Actions: Curses. Tosses keg.
Tahoe
Description: 28-year-old man, preferably with tattoos. Reckless. Womanizer.
Actions: Non-speaking role. Jumps off a deck.
Extras: Mourners/partygoers
