River City Pops
River City Pops, a small, all-volunteer singing ensemble, is recruiting new members, with openings for one or two sopranos and altos, and two to three tenors and basses. This 501(c)3 group was formed more than 20 years ago and specializes in performing for retirement communities, church gatherings and benefits, as well sponsoring public performances. We rehearse on Tuesday evenings at a church on S. Skinker Boulevard. On average we perform twice a month (evenings and weekends). Much of our music is from the Great American Songbook and Broadway musicals. We sing in four-part harmony as well as having opportunities for members to participate in duets or sing solos. We are having a “guest night” on Tuesday, January 15, to give singers an opportunity to experience the group. Contact us for more information.
