The St. Louis Shakespeare Festival is now accepting auditions from equity and non-equity members for the 2021 TourCo production, Othello, written by William Shakespeare and directed by Adam Flores.
Rehearsals start July 13, performances August 3-29 (excluding Mondays).
Othello is the most important Black character in Shakespeare’s work, it is essential that the world of this play be populated with bodies representing a wide range of abilities, race, ethnicities, gender expressions, and backgrounds.
Six actors will make up the TourCo company, playing multiple roles.
Steps to submit an online audition:
- To submit a video audition please select one of the sides offered and prepare both parts of the scene.
- Record audition on your phone from the waist up and upload it to YouTube as an unlisted link.
- Fill out the form and attach a headshot, resume and link to your video. Click submit.
The deadline for submissions January 15. Callbacks will be held via Zoom.
