St. Louis Shakespeare Festival- The Ville – Shakespeare in the Streets

Audition submissions are now open to perform along with community members for our 2021 Shakespeare in the Streets program in The Ville neighborhood. The Ville is a historic north city neighborhood with many notable and leading African-American institutions Sumner High School, Homer G. Phillips Hospital, Annie Malone Children’s Home and the Tandy Rec Center. The play is written by Sumner alumni Mariah L. Richardson and directed by Ville Resident Thomasina Clarke.

We are seeking performers to cover roles ranging all ages, gender identity, and abilities.

Monologue Submissions are due by end of day May 7th.
Callbacks will be by arrangement on Zoom, May 14th.

Audition Information

  • Record yourself giving a 1-2 minute self-tape monologue of your choosing. It can be Shakespearean or contemporary. Upload your video to Youtube.
  • Fill out the audition form and add your Youtube audition link to the submission.
