SUMMARY: A young, dedicated 2nd grade teacher accidentally endangers the lives of some of her students on a class field trip to an international food market and faces the consequences. Three young men who were also at the market and played a large part in saving the children reflect on what their initial motives were for being in the store in the first place.
COMPENSATION: None, though you’ll be fed and formally credited for your work.
FARAH MULRONEY – MID TO LATE 20s – ANY ETHNICITY – A dedicated young woman who goes above and beyond for her students. She experiences relationship problems with her boyfriend, Brendan, and struggles to reconcile with herself after the events of the field trip.
BRENDAN JENKINS – MID TO LATE 20s – ANY ETHNICITY – A generally good guy, but feels second fiddle to Farah’s constant devotion to her students. He feels responsible for the events of the field trip and has a hard time comforting Farah.
JESSE COFFMAN – EARLY 20s – ANY ETHNICITY – A young man who was at the location of the field trip and helped save the children. He breaks his wrist during the event and becomes a poster child of heroism.
ALEX HOLLEY – ROLE HAS BEEN CAST – A young man who was at the location of the field trip and helped save the children. He feels remorse for being hailed a hero.
LUCIEN MORRISON – EARLY 20s – ANY ETHNICITY – A young man who was at the location of the field trip and helped save the children. He is cunning, smart-mouthed, and can be very cold. He doesn’t understand Alex’s sadness. He likes his new label as hero.
