Auditionees under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present at auditions. Please be prepared to list all conflicts from Aug. 2 – Oct. 18, 2020 (our scheduled set strike day.) Please note: conflicts do not necessarily rule you out of being cast in a show. However, if you have new conflicts that arise after the show is cast, we may need/choose to recast your role.
DIRECTOR – STEPHEN PEIRICK / MUSIC DIRECTOR – COLIN HEALY / ASST. DIRECTOR – DANI MANN / STAGE MANAGER – RACHEL DOWNING / ASST. STAGE MANAGER – JOSH LITRELL
Come to auditions at least 15 minutes before your audition time so you can complete the necessary paperwork.
Bring 32 bars of a musical theatre song. You must provide your own sheet music in the correct key, marked as needed. An accompanist will be provided. No pre-recorded music or a cappella is allowed.
All actors will present a monologue for the main character for which they are auditioning. Sides are available for download at http://www.taketwoproductions.org/auditions. Please note: you may use the printed side during your audition, and memorization of this side is not needed/expected. We just want to see strong acting choices when presenting your audition piece!
Resumes and headshots are helpful, but not required.
Bring your calendar so you can provide us with all of your conflicts.
Don’t be late. If you’re late, you may have to wait until there is time in the schedule to audition. If we’re completely booked, you may not get to audition at all. We can’t make any exceptions.
Familiarize yourself with the show. Start by reviewing the list of characters at http://www.taketwoproductions.org/auditions.
Callbacks, if needed, will be on: Sunday, March 29, 7 – 10 p.m. If needed at callbacks, actors will receive an email by 12 noon on Friday, March 27. Please note: if you are not called back for a role, it does not mean you are not being considered/cast. It just means that the production team doesn’t need to see anything additional at this time.
Thank you for your interest in auditioning for us. The casting for Take Two shows is very competitive, but we do everything we can to make auditions fun and stress-free. We’ve been there! Just relax and show us what you’ve got. We want you to do your best.
Rehearsals will begin on/around August 2, 2020, and will likely run 6:45 – 10 PM 2-4 nights a week. For the month of August, the director will strive to have all children released between 9 – 9: 30 PM. The actual rehearsal schedule, including rehearsal locations, will be decided once the show is cast. We try to work around as many conflicts as we can.
