We are looking for two male actors to play the lead roles in our short film currently titled, “Sunshine”.
Ethan has just graduated high school and is getting ready to head off to college. Shortly after his graduation though, his mother has passed away, and he struggles with accepting the fact that she’s gone.
Ethan’s father notices that the passing of Ethan’s mother has taken a heavy toll on him, and he does his best to help comfort Ethan during both their time of grief.
“Sunshine” is an exploration of how everyone grieves differently and how the way we grieve as individuals affects those around us.
- Looking for applicants between the ages of 18-22 (passing as 18)
- No facial hair (if cast for the part, you must be willing to shave)
- No tattoos
- Looking for applicants between the ages of 40-50 (passing as 45)
- Height: Around 5’6 or higher
Compensation will be film credit, meals at lunch & dinner for both shooting days and a copy of the finished film for acting reels/resumes.
Important info for Audition:
We ask that as a requirement you please bring a headshot(s) and resume or short bio of your acting experience/training to your audition. A ‘side’ from the script will be provided for you to perform in front of the director and producer while being filmed on camera.
Audition days are Saturday, October 6th & Sunday, October 7th from 12pm – 5pm. You may show up to audition on either day.
Filming dates for “Sunshine” are Saturday, November 10th & Sunday, November 11th, as well as a pickup day (if needed) on Sunday, November 18th.
