VOICE ACTING CASTING CALL
The House of Branching Paths is an immersive storytelling radio play. We adapt stories of all genres, utilizing voice acting, foley work, and original music. The House of Branching Paths is looking for four actors in total. Roles are described below:
Nemo: Butler of the House; greets guests every episode with an introduction of the story theme for that episode. Nemo has always been a part of the House. Nemo cares greatly for the guests, but is mysterious in nature. Nemo is proper and forthright.
Nan: Ghost of the House; formerly a “permanent resident” of the House, now turned guide to our guests to not only the story realms they visit, but back to the storytellers. Nan is ethereal, eager, and enthusiastic about the guests and the stories.
Storytellers: Two new storytellers of The Circle. The Circle is an ancient organization of storytellers, which has included authors, playwrights, and other human storytellers of the past, but also may include other creatures of stories and story realms. If cast in this role, the performer would be expected to work with the directors to develop their own storyteller character within the rubric given to join the Circle. Storytellers provide multiple voices per episode. Vocal flexibility is key.
Initial Auditions will be held Saturday, September 14. Please prepare a dramatic monologue, and bring your headshot and resume. You will also be given cold readings to feature your character voices.
Callbacks, if needed, will be Sunday, September 15. This will include cold reads with the existing cast.
