Albion Theatre announces auditions for the dark comedy/thriller “Mindgame” by Anthony Horowitz to be staged at the Kranzberg Black Box from September 23 to October 9, 2023. Robert Ashton will direct.
Auditions will be held at the Black Box Theatre 501 N Grand Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63103 on Thursday March 23 from 7.00 to 9.00 p.m. and Saturday March 25th from 10.00 – 12.00 with callbacks 1.00 to 4.00 on the 25th. Mark Styler, a writer of “true crime” books visits an experimental hospital for the criminally insane to try and get an interview with a notorious mass murderer. First, he must get approval from Dr. Farquhar, the quixotic head of the hospital. Nurse Paisley tries to warn him that nothing is what it seems. This thriller/dark comedy twists its way towards a shocking conclusion.
There are 3 roles:
Styler, male aged around 50. Self confident to the point of being smug
Farquhar, male aged around 50. A strange blend of the saturnine and the benevolent
Paisley, female, late 40s. A serious, even severe, woman.
