Civil War figures impact the legal landscape of modern America
We are producing a film for public distribution that will feature characters that were impacted by the Civil War, and who in turn impacted the legal landscape of modern America.
We are seeking an African American male to portray Jack Anderson, a slave who escaped to Canada from Howard County, Missouri. Years later Anderson was arrested in Ontario on a charge of murder. An effort to extradite him created an international incident, on the eve of the American Civil War. Anderson remained a free man when the Court of Queens Bench in London intervened to deny the extradition. The role is available to actors of any age, but portrayal will be of a man 30 to 45 years old.
The project will produce an edited film of not more than 5 minutes, and the filming session will last less than one hour. Location of filming is the City of St. Louis. The successful candidate will be compensated $100.00.
