SATE is casting the following roles (play and character descriptions provided by playwrights):

The Inferno is for B*tches by Aurora Behlke, directed by Kayla Lindsay
Heaven McPherson-Petermeyer did NOT do her book report on Dante’s Inferno. Instead, she was busy getting totally sucked into a journey through real life Hell. With the power of punk music, she must find her way back home… and delete the friggin’ illegal copy of Detective Pikachu off of her family computer ASAP.

The Inferno is for B*tches is written as a mini punk musical. Ideally, the director is looking for actors who play instruments – drums? guitar? – and folks who are comfortable belting out song lyrics. There is scope for all types of performers. If you play any instrument and are interested in auditioning, please bring your instrument to the audition and be prepared to play a short piece. If submitting a self-tape (and you play an instrument), please include a short piece with your audition sides.

Roles:
HEAVEN, on vocals – any age, gender, race or ethnicity
MANNY, on drums –  any age, gender, race or ethnicity
MANNIE, on guitar – any age, gender, race or ethnicity

Felicity by Dylan Malloy, directed by Ashwini Arora
As billionaires take off into space to colonize Mars, Will and June, two impoverished teenagers from a drought-stricken town, watch the rocket launch and reflect upon their lifelong friendship. June is devastated when she learns that Will is obsessed with the impossible hope of leaving Earth behind forever–and her along with it.

Roles:
WILL: 15-17. Male, can be played by an actor slightly older.
JUNE: 15-17. Female, can be played by an actor slightly older.

Scenes from Pierrot’s Blanket by Meredith Lyons, directed by Christina Yancy
Embark on a surreal journey with Pierre as he navigates the landscape of your wildest dreams, desperately searching for his missing blanket on a quest that stands between him and his favorite activity, jamming out on his guitar. Revel in delight as he meets a charming, colorful parade of peculiar personalities.

Roles:
PIERRE: 20s, a quintessential Pierrot clown, the audience’s guide. Can be played by any gender. Requires a strong physical actor. Guitar experience ideal but not essential. Not, required to be considered for the role, but if you play, bring your guitar, ukulele, banjo, etc. to the audition and be prepared to play a song of your choice.
HEAD CHEF / TV HOST: Played by the same actor. Mid to late 40s, any gender, race, or ethnicity.
APPRENTICE / ANNOUNCER: Played by the same actor. 20s to early 30s, any gender, race, or ethnicity.
