We are currently casting the lead roles in Sam Zoellner’s next film Somebody to Love. The film is a multi-perspective drama about two closeted gay men who run into each other at a work event that they attend with their wives after the two men had a secret affair with each other.
Shooting will take place late March or early April with concrete dates and times soon to be decided. The performers will be provided with meals and crafty.

Characters:
DEAN LINDALL: (early 30s) A quiet but charming man, a well-polished ‘catch’, eye-catchingly good looking, aware of his effect on people, insecure beneath the charisma. A closeted man married to his longtime friend from college, a high-powered lawyer.
ROBERT JOHNSON: (mid 30s) A suburban dad approaching middle age, quiet, reserved, a little disheveled. A classic salaryman with a middling career and a sexless marriage.
ALESSANDRA LINDALL: (early 30s) A high-powered lawyer at a small but powerful firm. Married to her longtime friend Dean. A picture perfect couple with a picture perfect life. Burberry and red wine on the outside, beer at the ski lodge on the inside.
AMELIA JOHNSON: (mid 30s) The meek and religious wife of Robert. Unadorned but well-pressed. Even she forgets she’s there sometimes.
DON LOEB: (50s-60s) A quiet and well-starched man, about to retire from a long-held job, in a decades long loveless marriage that’s been recently upset by Don’s indiscreet affair. Younger than he looks, probably drinks too much. Closeted, disappeared into work and the suburbs to hide from his sexuality.
CORDELIA LOEB: (50s-60s) A domineering housewife with an absent husband and no kids. Spent her whole life banking on being a stay at home mom and now only has church groups and bridge club to fill her time.
DOUGLAS LEXANAHAM: (early 20s) an optimistic and lonely fellow, a dedicated worker, stuck in the social desert of ‘the weekend’
