CASTING CALL – FRIENDS FROM THE NEIGHBORHOOD (TV SERIES)

Friends From the Neighborhood is a Black-led, independent dramatic TV series filming in St. Louis. The show is raw, emotional, and grounded in real city experiences, focusing on family, loyalty, love, power, and survival.

We are currently casting MAIN and SUPPORTING roles.

ROLES AVAILABLE:
• Ages 15–60+
• Male, Female, Stud, Femme
• All ethnicities welcome
• Must be comfortable portraying authentic, street-level characters
• Some roles require intimacy (kissing / implied nudity – discussed professionally and respectfully)

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
• Raw, natural performers
• First-time actors welcome
• Real people with real stories encouraged to apply
• Strong personalities and presence on camera

■ MAIN CHARACTERS — AUDITIONS OPEN
Trace Phorello (Stud Lesbian, 24-34)
Street-smart law student, future leader of the Phorello family. Balanced between books and bullets. She ain’t to be f*cked with.

Stacks (Male, 24–34)
Quiet but calculated. Grew up with Trace, ex-military, now her ride-or-die. In a poly love triangle with Ell and April.

Jayvee (JV) (Male, 15-18)
High school kid trying to survive with no father and a struggling mom. Baby daddy to Tiffany. Sweet but stressed.

Tionna (Femme, 24-34)
Trace’s first love, now engaged to a politician’s son. She’s torn between duty and her heart. Must be open to filming femme/femme intimacy (kissing, implied nudity).

Brianna (Femme, 24-34)
Book-smart, Trace’s homegirl, studying to become a CPA. Lowkey pregnant. Pressure from her daddy got her shook.

Nuk (Male, 24-34)
Hustler with a heart. Taking care of his grandparents and in love with Brianna. Leader of his block. Must spit bars or be able to fake it.

Tino Phorello (Male, 40s–60s)
Trace’s daddy. A respected boss in the streets. Appears in flashbacks. Real OG energy.

Mickey Phorello (Female, 40s–60s)
Trace’s momma. Soft, sweet, spiritual — but don’t play about her baby girl. Think auntie who’ll cuss you out at church.

Meek (Male, 30s)
Pimp and trafficker. Bad dude. Needs strong acting for aggressive scenes.

Captain Locks (Black Male, 40s+)
Dirty cop and hidden villain. Calm on the outside, sinister underneath. Appears trustworthy at first.

Sgt. Jones (Female, 30s)
Clean cop working with Trace on the low. Got ambition and integrity. Working to become captain.

Judge Chyanne Billips (Femme, 20s)
Youngest Black judge in St. Juke. Brilliant, commanding, becomes Trace’s love interest.

Tiffany (Female, 15)
JV’s baby mama. Ghetto sweet. Gave birth in a damn shed. Loving and wild.

Marcus (Male, 15)
JV’s friend. Ain’t all the way solid. Pulls JV into a dangerous mission.

■ SUPPORTING CHARACTERS
Ell Phorello (Femme, 24)
Trace’s cousin. Just got out the military. Still in love with Stacks. Bold, loyal, a real one. In a poly relationship with Stacks and April.

April (Femme, 24)
Part of a poly relationship with Ell and Stacks. Supportive, grounded, and open-minded.

Paw Paw Phorello (Male, 60s+)
Old-school. Wise, respected, trains Trace to stay sharp. Will throw you in the ring if you soft.

Ms. Jackie (Female, 40s)
JV’s mother. Battling addiction, caught up with Meek. Has a powerful redemption arc.
