Chorus of Fools is seeking actors and singers for our upcoming season. We are committed to inclusive casting and encourage performers of all backgrounds, identities, and experience levels to audition.

You will then receive an email containing your assigned audition time and the audition sides. There is no need to bring printed copies with you to audition.

THE PRODUCTIONS
The Privilege of Being Second
By Eric Satterfield and David Nonemaker
Performance Dates: July 2 – July 12, 2026
Rehearsals begin June 2.

Seeking:

  • Reese Winter: Male, 17 (18+ to play younger).
  • Wyatt Winter: 18.
  • John Winter: Late 30s – Early 50s.
  • Camille Winter: Late 30s – Early 50s
    We will audition with the provided sides.

A Holiday Cabaret (Exact title TBD)
Performance Dates: December 11 & 12
Details: Seeking 5-8 engaging vocalists for our holiday cabaret that will feature a blend of musical theatre selections and holiday selections. Please prepare two brief selections: one holiday song and one musical theatre song (16–32 bars each). We will not have an accompanist. You may sing acapella, provide your own instrument, or play a track from your phone. A Bluetooth/Aux speaker will be available.

Macbeth
Performance Dates: March 11-21, 2027
Details: A stylized production of the Shakespearean classic.
Seeking: Macbeth, Lady Macbeth, The Weird Sisters, Banquo, Macduff. (All other roles—Duncan, Thanes, Porter, etc.—will be cast from these auditions.)
We will use sides, and you should also prepare a 1-minute monologue (Shakespeare or other classic verse).

COMPENSATION: All roles for the 2026-2027 season will be paid via a stipend.

We encourage performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, and ages, as well as performers with disabilities, to audition.

Chorus of Fools is a St. Louis-based, non-profit theatre company dedicated to defining theatre through the fusion of diverse art forms, nurturing emerging talent by providing education and participation opportunities in artistic endeavors, and making the transformative power of the stage accessible to new audiences and the general public.
