AZIZA HOUSTON – friend of Nazareth
for colored girls who have considered suicide / when the rainbow is enuf

with spoken word, movement, and/or singing abilities are encouraged to audition.

The Lady in Brown – The grounded narrator; introspective and wise. She opens and frames the story.
The Lady in Yellow – Youthful and joyful; speaks of first love and innocence.
The Lady in Orange – Bold and brash; deals with apology and accountability in relationships.
The Lady in Red – Passionate and intense; represents sensuality and betrayal.
The Lady in Green – Strong, sarcastic, yet vulnerable; speaks truth with emotional clarity.
The Lady in Blue – Dreamy and intellectual; connected deeply to art and loss.
The Lady in Purple – Spiritual, grounded, and maternal; a voice of healing and divine strength.

CAESAR WILKS: This role has been cast. (M, Black/African Descent, 40s–50s) Black Mary’s brother, a strict lawman; complex and authoritative.
ELI: This role has been cast. (M, Black/African Descent, 50s–60s) Caretaker of Aunt Ester’s home, grounded and loyal.
